Rating Mechanism for Multiple-Choice Questions

Currently, there are three different rating options for multiple-choice questions.

1. Standard mode (default)
Calculation: (number of correct answers - number of wrong answers)/number of answers * 100
In case the learner does not select any answer, the answer will automatically be rated with 0%.
All values between 0 and 100% can be achieved, but if a question has only one correct answer only 0 or 100% are possible.

2. Strict mode
All items must be selected correctly in order to get a 100% rating, all other answers will be rated with 0%.

3. Only correct items
Similar to standard mode, but only the correct expert answers are considered for rating.

CAVE: Standard constraints:

  • user has not clicked anything, but the number of expert answers >0: score = 0%
  • number of correct answers is shown + number expert answers >0 + user clicked more options than shown: score = 0%
  • only correct items: number of expert answers <total options and user clicked all: score = 0%

Ratings can be changed by applying other settings, such as adding a must-not-miss answer.

Answer weighting:
You can weight the questions of a case differently by changing the provided checkbox. These weighting settings can be included in the results evaluation reports that are exported.
