Expert Comment
The expert comment presents expert knowledge that exceeds
- the knowledge necessary to work on the case
- the knowledge necessary to achieve the learning objectives.
This can be extensive knowledge as well as basic knowledge.
It would overload the information text or answer comment if too much expert information was presented there. This also helps to ensure the continuity of the storyboard.
When formulating the expert comment, the same principles of conciseness, understandability and clearness are relevant, as described in the chapter on “text design”.
It is reasonable to make the student aware of the expert comment, if a card has one. For example, “Please also see the expert comment for further information concerning […].”
