Account Manager

On this page you can create new accounts for authors, tutors or even administrators and edit existing accounts.

Create new accounts

  • Please enter all necessary information in the appropriate fields and select the group that the user should be assigned to.
  • Click on “save” to save the account.
  • If the user name already exists, you will get an error message. Please make sure that the user name is a valid e-mail address.

Change an account

  • Please enter the user name or any other data of the account and click “search”.
  • You can change all the information for this account, except the user name. You can also lock the account so that the user is unable to login.
  • You can find an overview of course bookings by clicking on “course booking”.
  • To save your changes, please click “save”.

Reset

  • Will empty the form and enables searching and/or editing another account.

Delete an account

  • If you want to delete an existing author account, please click “delete”. All case access grants will be deleted and the case ownerships will be granted to the selected author. The author's automatically generated private course will also be deleted, so that no cases are accessible in player mode. The author will also be removed from any courses that he or she is assigned to.

Roles

  • Author: can create and edit their own cases
  • Tutor: can create and edit their own courses. To set up co-tutors, please refer to the course access manager. Tutors are allowed to create player accounts in the course manager.
  • Case access via search: access to the case search link  
  • Administrator: can create all types of accounts: player, author and tutor. They can also govern co-authors, co-tutors and have access to specific group settings. If available, groups have full read and write access to all subscriptions.
  • Status page access: (not available for all administrators)
  • Special subscription manager roles (not available to all users/institutions):
    • Subscriber: has full read and write access to own subscriptions.
    • Supporter: has limited read and write access to own subscriptions.
    • Admin supporter: has limited read and write access to all subscriptions.
