Card Navigation

With the new card navigation feature you have access to a powerful Feature, allowing a more flexibel Navigation within a CASUS case. Following scenarios could be realized

  • Jumps: you can let users jump over a couple of cards after decision points
  • Branches: You may have several cards which could be accessed not necessarily in a fixed order, for example first findings, after these you woul like to come back to the sequential order.
  • You could realize completely branched structures, even though we do recommend this only in special cases.

The feature is particularly useful together with the case type “open navigation (display only visited cards), otherwise user could access more cards from the left case structure, you can edit the case type in the case meta data, simply click the case name in the left case structure part of the authroing system.

The card navigation can be reached via the context menu of the cards, a new dialog is displayed.

Within the dialog you have the floowing parts:

  • Options for the previous and next button
  • A list of additional navigation links or buttons

Each additional button has the following settings:

  • Typ: button or link
  • Title: displayed within the link anchor or in the button
  • Target: The card where this link/button is going to, a select box of all cards of the case
  • Display: Where this link/button is displayed, at this point can be after the info text, after the answer comment or at the and of the card.

Please note:

  • Links/Buttons to disabled cards may work in the authoring system preview, but NOT in player
  • Defining links/buttons displayed after the answer comment on cards without a question/answer will never display

As soon as possible we will try to provide a graphic visualizing the structure
